Northcliffe CRC will be running a photo competition and exhibition for the town's innaugaural bee festival in October 2026. The exhibition will be held in the Painted Tree Gallery and will coincide with the weekend of the festival on 24-25th October.
Entries to the bee festival photo competition will open on 1st July 2026 and entry forms and other relevant information will be posted right here. Here's a timeline to alert you to the fact that Spring of 2026 will be too late to take your photos, so you need to be snapping right now!
Northcliffe CRC are also running a bee film festival over the festival weekend. The Bee film festival program is the yellow highlighted items in this cinema program.

Northcliffe's bee film festival is kicking off with the best of the worst. The Swarm from 1978 was the big budget peak of a wave of 1970s disaster cinema which included no less than 6 killer bee movies. This is a legendary fixture in 'so bad it's good' cinema. We have obtained the a remastered copy of the original theatrical release. Presented as a partnership between Northcliffe Community Resource Centre and Southern Forest Arts. The big feature of Northcliffe's bee film festival is Honeyland, a dramatic documentary rated 100% on Rotten Tomatoes which swept the 2024 Oscars. Presented by the Northcliffe Library in partnership with Northcliffe Community Resource Centre and Southern Forest Arts.
